A Love Letter from Jesus
For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Ephesians 2:10

There are moments when Scripture stops being words on a page and becomes something you feel in your heart. Ephesians 2:8-10 is one of those passages for me. Paul is writing about grace, about purpose, about the breathtaking truth that we are God's handiwork — His poem, His masterpiece.

"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." — Ephesians 2:8-10 (NIV)

As I sat with these verses, I found myself wondering: what if Jesus said this directly to us? What would it sound like to hear it from Him? What follows is written as just that — a letter from the One who knows you best, loves you most, and made you on purpose.

A Letter from Jesus

My beloved,

Come close. There is something I want to whisper over you today — something I hope you'll tuck deep into your heart and carry with you.

You didn't find your way to Me because you were good enough. And that's okay. That was never the plan. I came for you because I love you — because I have always loved you — and My love doesn't wait for perfect. What I did on the cross, I did freely. Gladly. For you. That is grace, and it is yours. Not because you earned it, and not because you deserved it, but because I decided you are worth everything. And I would do it again.

So please — set down the weight of trying to earn what I've already given you. You don't have to prove yourself to Me. You never did.

I also want you to know something else, something I hope makes your heart glad: I didn't save you just to rescue you from something. I saved you for something.

Long before you took your first breath, I knew you. I knew the way your mind works, the things that make your heart come alive, the quiet gifts you sometimes wonder if anyone notices. I knew your laugh. I knew your tears. And I made you — every single part of you — with such care and such intention. You are not an accident. You are not a rough draft. You are My handiwork. My poiema. My poem.

There are good works I prepared just for you — placed along the path of your life like gifts waiting to be opened. When you love the people around you, when you serve with the gifts I wove into you, when you show up with kindness in ordinary moments — you are walking right into what you were made for. And I want you to know: I see it. Every quiet act of faithfulness, every sacrifice no one else notices — I see it, and it brings Me joy. It means so much to Me when you honor Me with your life.

And beloved — I know you. All of you.

I know the places where you struggle. I know the moments you've stumbled and then looked up wondering if I was still there. I know the shame that sometimes creeps in when you fall short of who you want to be.

I am still here. I have always been here.

I have already made a way for you in those moments. Before you ever stumbled, My grace was already waiting on the other side. I am not keeping score. I am not standing at a distance, arms crossed, waiting for you to get it together. I am the One who sees you coming from far off and runs toward you — every single time.

You are not too much for Me. You are not too broken. You are not too far gone.

You are Mine, and I am so glad you are.

I made you on purpose, for a purpose, and I am with you every step of the way. The story I'm writing in your life is not finished. The good works aren't all done. And I will be right here — walking beside you, cheering you on, catching you when you fall, and picking you back up again.

You were made for this, dear one. And I made you for Me.

With all My love,

Jesus

Prayer: Father, thank You for a grace I could never earn and a love I can never lose. Help me to rest in who You say I am — Your handiwork, Your beloved, Your masterpiece. Give me eyes to see the good works You've placed in my path, and the courage to walk in them. And in the moments I stumble, remind me that Your grace already went ahead and walks beside me. In Jesus' name, Amen.

His Ministry: Our Mission

This message — right here, right now — is at the very heart of everything Jesus came to do.

Grace that saves. Purpose that calls. Love that never lets go. This is not just theology on a page. This is the living, breathing heartbeat of the gospel, and it was written for you.

Let these words settle into the places where you've been striving, or hiding, or wondering if you're enough?

Read this again. And then read it again.

Because here's what I know: someone in your life needs to hear exactly what you just read. Someone you love is carrying weight they were never meant to carry. Someone is convinced they are too broken, too far gone, too much of a mess for God to use. Someone is desperately searching for the very peace, joy, and love that Jesus freely offers.

You have the message they need.

This is our mission — to take what we've been freely given and give it freely away. Share this post. Send it to a friend. Read it out loud to someone who needs to hear it. Let it start a conversation. Let it open a door.

The world changes one heart at a time, and it starts with yours.
